Bharathiyar Arts and Science College for Women (BASCW) was established in 1997 by Sri Sakthi Educational Trust at Deviyakurichi, Thalaivasal, Salem District. The institution is dedicated to women's higher education and follows the educational vision inspired by Mahakavi Bharathiyar, with a particular focus on empowering rural women through quality education, practical exposure, ethical values and scientific thinking. The college is affiliated to Periyar University, Salem, and has developed a broad academic structure covering Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Computer Applications and Biological Sciences.
