Dindigul Shifa College of Health Sciences (DSCHS) is a premier Allied Health Sciences institution in Tamil Nadu, chaired by Dr. S. Peer Mohammad. The college is committed to meeting the evolving challenges of healthcare through industry-relevant diploma and degree programs that combine academic excellence with real-world clinical training. Allied health professionals trained here play a key role in disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation, working closely with doctors and nurses to support patients of all ages. The college is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, and currently offers three undergraduate programmes: B.Sc Medical Laboratory Technology, B.Sc Operation Theatre & Anaesthesia Technology, and B.Sc Radiography & Imaging Technology — each a 3-year course followed by a 1-year internship, with more courses planned for upcoming academic years. Students train at the college's own full-fledged multispeciality hospital, which includes departments in Gynecology, Infertility & IVF, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, and Emergency Medicine, three modern operation theatres, a fully functional ICU, and specialized units for delivery and postnatal care — allowing complete in-house clinical exposure without needing external placements for practical training.
