About Emerald Heights College for Women
Emerald Heights College for Women is a women's degree college located on Golf Links Road, Finger Post, in Udhagamandalam (Ooty), in the Nilgiri Hills of Tamil Nadu. Established in 1969, the college was founded to meet the higher-education needs of women in a hill town situated near the tri-junction of Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The college is affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, and has been re-accredited by NAAC with a B++ grade. It is managed by The Nilgiri Education Society and offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across arts, commerce and science disciplines, including departments such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Zoology, Tamil, English, History and Commerce. With a compact, learner-centred student body, Emerald Heights College positions itself around individual attention and a serene hill-station campus environment, alongside sports, laboratory, library and hostel facilities for its students.
