About Government Arts and Science College (Co-Education), Anthiyur
Government Arts and Science College, Anthiyur affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore was established in 2022 and started functioning in the academic year 2022-2023. The institution was established with the vision of providing quality higher education to all sections of society, with particular emphasis on students from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds. The college is situated in the Government Boys Higher Secondary School campus and occupies a 10-acre area in Anthiyur town. The college began with five undergraduate degree programmes in Tamil Literature, English Literature, Commerce, Computer Science and Mathematics. The institution has developed a student strength of around 500 and provides 10 well-ventilated classrooms, science laboratories, a well-equipped library with internet facility, 150 Mbps fibre-connected Wi-Fi, 24-hour CCTV surveillance and separate parking facilities. The college also provides sports activities, Naan Mudhalvan skill development training, NSS, NCC, Youth Red Cross, placement and career guidance, Women Cell, Entrepreneurship Development Cell and Anti-Drug Cell activities.

Candidates apply through the Tamil Nadu Government Arts and Science Colleges admission process and the college admission system.
Eligibility Verification
Applicants must have passed the Higher Secondary Plus Two examination or an equivalent recognised qualification and satisfy the prescribed course requirements.
Merit Preparation
Eligible applicants are considered through the prescribed admission and rank-list process followed by the Government Arts and Science Colleges.
Special Quota Counselling
Special reservation categories including differently abled, sports, NCC, ex-service personnel and other notified categories are considered through the prescribed counselling process.
