About Government Arts College for Men, Krishnagiri
Government Arts College for Men, Krishnagiri was established in 1964 with the objective of providing higher education opportunities to students in the Krishnagiri region. The college has developed from its early academic programmes into a major government higher-education institution offering undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes. The institution is affiliated to Periyar University, Salem, and has been accredited with B++ grade by NAAC. The official institutional records identify a 55-acre rural campus with academic, library, sports and student-support facilities. The college currently provides programmes in Tamil, English, History, Economics, Commerce, BBA, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science, Microbiology and Statistics at undergraduate level, together with postgraduate and research programmes in several disciplines. Research opportunities include M.Phil and Ph.D programmes in Tamil, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, History, English, Physics and Chemistry.
