About Kongunadu Arts and Science College
Kongunadu Arts and Science College (KASC) is a co-educational, autonomous institution located at G.N. Mills in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Founded on 12 August 1973 to meet the growing demand for higher education in the fast-industrialising Kongunadu region, the college is affiliated to Bharathiar University and has since developed into one of the larger autonomous arts and science colleges in the district. The college received Autonomous status from the University Grants Commission in the 2004-05 academic year and has been re-accredited by NAAC with an A+ grade in its fourth accreditation cycle. It has also been recognised as a College of Excellence by the UGC. KASC has featured in the NIRF overall ranking framework, placing in the 101-150 band in the 2025 edition. KASC offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes across Arts, Science, Commerce and Computer Applications, including newer disciplines such as Computer Science with Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, supported by dedicated undergraduate, postgraduate and research laboratories across its departments.
