About PGP College of Arts and Science
PGP College of Arts and Science was established in 1994 by Dr. Palani G. Periasamy and is part of the PGP Group of Institutions. The college is located on the Namakkal-Karur National Highway and focuses on providing higher education and skill-oriented programmes to students, particularly from the rural areas of Namakkal and surrounding districts. The institution operates as an autonomous college and is affiliated to Periyar University, Salem. The college offers 18 undergraduate and 17 postgraduate courses and has developed research programmes including M.Phil and Ph.D programmes. Academic departments cover Arts, Science, Commerce, Computer Science and Applications, Business Administration, Hotel Management and Catering Science and other specialised disciplines. The campus provides Wi-Fi, transport, hostel accommodation, library resources, seminar and auditorium facilities, sports facilities, banking and shopping services and research-oriented infrastructure.
