Empowering Women Through Excellence and Salesian Virtues
About St. Theresa's Arts & Science College for Women
St. Theresa's Arts and Science College for Women, situated in the historic town of Tharangambadi, is a premier institution dedicated to the empowerment of women through quality education. Established in 2017 by the Sisters of Salesian Missionaries of Mary Immaculate (SMMI), the college carries forward a century-old legacy of compassion and social service that began in 1901. Our institution provides a nurturing and values-based environment where students are encouraged to achieve academic excellence, leadership skills, and social responsibility. Our college is affiliated with Annamalai University and offers a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. We focus on holistic development, integrating Salesian virtues such as simplicity, cheerfulness, patience, and compassion into the curriculum. We are committed to fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere that breaks societal barriers and ensures that every girl, especially from marginalized backgrounds, has access to higher learning opportunities. Beyond academics, our campus is equipped with modern infrastructure, including digital libraries, specialized labs, and sports facilities, providing a balanced lifestyle for our students. With a faculty committed to excellence and a vision to shape future leaders, St. Theresa's Arts and Science College continues to strive toward becoming a lighthouse of education for the coastal region of Tamil Nadu.
