About Vignesh College of Education
Vignesh College of Education was started by Sree Selvavinayagar Trust from the academic year 2007-2008 at Melputhiyandal, Tiruvannamalai. The institution functions under a self-financing scheme and is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Southern Regional Committee, Bengaluru, with affiliation to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai. The college was established with the objective of improving teacher education and preparing competent teachers for the educational needs of the region. The college is situated on approximately 6.07 acres of land and has a permanent building with around 3,600 square metres of built-up area. Its campus includes spacious classrooms, a 750-seat multipurpose hall, art and craft resource facilities, health and physical education resources, common rooms, sanitation facilities, a multipurpose playfield and other academic and student-support amenities. The institution offers the B.Ed. programme as a two-year teacher-education course.
